Nada Cyclone Latest Updates in Tamilnadu, Puducherry – Holiday Announced:


The Cyclonic Storm Nada on 1st December 2016, Thursday located near latitude 10.4°N and longitude 82.0°E, about 350 km south-southeast of Chennai and about 290 km southeast of Puducherry located in India.

The cyclone named NADA is expected to cross the Tamil Nadu state coast between Vedaranyam and Puducherry in the morning of 2nd December 2016, Friday as per the report by the India Meteorological Department IMD.

The Tamilnadu Government had declared holidays for Schools, Colleges and some Universities located in 6 Districts for two days that is on 1st and 2nd December 2016.

The Anna University had also cancelled the examinations scheduled on 1st and 2nd December 2016 and also informed that the new dates will be announced later.

The fishermen asked to not venture out and go for fishing due to heavy wind by the cause of Cyclonic Storm Nada in Tamilnadu and Puducherry.

Two National Disaster Response Force NDRF teams and one State Disaster Response Force SDRF team deployed in coastal areas at Nagapattinam and Chennai.

The Government of Tamilnadu had also mentioned the Emergency Toll Free Numbers which includes 1070 and 1077 regarding the emergency of Cyclonic Storm Nada.
