Tamil Nadu celebrates New Year’s Day, Good Friday and Christmas Day as public holidays concerning all religions. Similarly to be patriotic Republic Day, Independence Day, and Mahatma Ghandi are considered public holidays in the state of Tamil Nadu to observe. Laterally the Other holidays are built on the cultural and religious followup of the residents of Tamil Nadu.

In tamil nadu there are large number of business activities going around and it stands highest among all other indian states. With hindus are on the higher percentage upto 88 count and thus the public holidays are many linked to the hindu faith. However the islam is spread upto 10% there are muslim faith festivals to be celebrated and the holidays are included in public holidays of tamil nadu too.

The banks in tamil nadu will remain close On April 1 every calendar new year as for the reason Annual Bank Account Closing as a public holiday.
